I'm your host Matías Osorio, last time I wrote about film photography and in today's blog I'm gonna write about a rap group that I like very much, the name of the group is BROCKHAMPTON.
BROCKHAMPTON as they call themselves "The world's greatest boyband". They are an American rap collective that's have been doing music since 2016. The idea of the band started when leader Kevin Abstract talked about the idea of creating a band with fellow members Matt Champion, Ameer Vann and Merlyn Woods. They were in the same Highschool at that time. The other members got in the group when Kevin Abstract made a post on a Kanye West forum asking if anyone wanted to be in a band.
They started a project called ALIVESINCEFOREVER in 2012 but disbanded in 2013, around November of 2014 BROCKHAMPTON was born.
Their debut mixtape was released on March 24, 2016, it's name is All-American Trash and it was free of charge.
In 2017 BROCKHAMPTON released three albums in a row, the SATURATION triology, this is what bringed the group fame and more exposure in the music scene. On march of 2018 they got signed a record deal with RCA Records and have realeased two more albums under that label, Iridescence on 2018 and GINGER that was realased 5 days ago, on August 23.
They've scheduled a North American tour that starts on October and finishes on Febraury of 2020.
I highly recommend this band if you want to listen to good beats and great rhymes.
